Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Hereling (the "Service"), a web service that shows the cost and revenue of AI features in your applications. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Hereling receives usage data from your application (through our proxy or through usage events you send) and payment events from the payment providers you connect (Stripe, Paddle, RevenueCat). We combine this data and show it to you in a dashboard. You remain responsible for your application, your AI provider accounts, and your payment provider accounts.

2. Your account

You sign in with GitHub. You are responsible for keeping your Hereling project keys confidential. If a key is exposed, rotate it from your dashboard immediately.

3. What we do not do

• We do not store your AI provider API keys. They pass through our proxy in your own request and are never written to disk or logs.
• We do not connect to your database and we never ask for its credentials.
• We do not store the contents of prompts or model responses. We store only numeric and label metadata: tokens, cost, duration, model, your user id, and your feature name.

4. Plans and payment

The Free plan is limited to 10,000 requests per month and 7 days of history. The Pro plan is billed monthly. Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. Prices are shown on our pricing page and may change with notice; changes apply from your next billing period. See our Refund Policy for refunds and cancellation.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to route traffic you are not authorized to send, to interfere with the Service, or to break any applicable law. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service or exceed reasonable usage on the Free plan.

6. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" without warranties. If our proxy is unavailable your AI calls may fail; you should be able to switch your base URL back to your provider at any time. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hereling is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or AI provider charges incurred by your application. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination we delete your project data within 30 days.
